This senior role in the Cleveland Market is responsible for raising $3.5M+ to fund the mission. Campaign primarily focuses on special event fundraising through corporations, teams and individuals. Special events include Heart Walk, Heart Ball and Go Red for Women. Additional revenue generation opportunities exist in Major Gifts, Workplace Giving, and Corporate Relations. VP is responsible for generating business, managing accounts, creating proposals, soliciting donations and overseeing event logistics.
This executive is responsible for providing partnership and leadership to metro board of directors and a staff team of 12 ensuring strong collaboration and synergy between development and other departments to optimize customer experience.
The ideal candidate is a goal-oriented visionary leader with demonstrated success in team-building and achievement of aggressive goals; holds a BS/BA and minimum five years of fundraising/sales experience preferably soliciting individual or corporate gifts of $50k+ each, collective gifts in excess of $2M; minimum three years experience supervising a team; volunteer board management experience; communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, networking and organizational skills with the capacity to manage details and attend meetings throughout the metro area with occasional overnight travel out of state.
