We are looking for a Consumer Lending Administrator to provide internal and external support services for all business channels related to Consumer Lending. You will build strong relationships with new and existing auto dealers, review loan packages for accuracy, verify contracts, and fund and set up loans. You will also provide administrative assistance with all aspects of Direct and Indirect Consumer Lending.
How you will accomplish this:
Develop new relationships and foster existing relationships with auto dealers and other customers throughout the loan process and loan life cycle
Ensure customers’ questions and issues are addressed in a timely manner
Perform collection duties for customers with delinquent accounts to ensure loans are brought up to date or arrange payment plans; assist with customer payment disputes
Assist the Indirect Lending business in the curing of negative reserve accounts, power bookings, or loan buy backs with dealers
Provide back-up with processing loan applications through various origination channels (incoming phone calls, third party vendors, online, etc.)
Prepare and review loan documents to ensure compliance with all funding requirements
Schedule loan closings and process loan closings/disbursements
Process GL entries to fund direct and indirect loans
Set up new loans in DNA/Meridian Link and verify data is accurate
Maintain a title tracking report to ensure all vehicles titles are received and contact the DMV if a title is not received in a timely manner
Maintain an up-to-date contact tracking list
Assist Consumer Lending in meeting its goals by participating in inbound and outbound sales campaigns
Cross-sell other Salem Co-operative Bank products
Assist with maintaining and compiling statistical data
Work occasional overtime outside of general business hours if required
Perform other duties as assigned
What you will bring to the role:
High school diploma with 2 years of experience in a financial institution or equivalent combination of education and experience; Associate’s degree preferred
Collections experience preferred
Strong system skills, including Microsoft Office; able to learn new technology quickly
Lending knowledge and experience with loan origination systems a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
The ability to exercise judgement, initiative and tact in dealing with auto dealers and team members
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
