Overview

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology invites applications or a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. William Kobertz.


This position is for an applicant who will use cellular imaging and electrophysiological techniques to fluorescently visualize extracellular K+ over the varied cardiomyocyte landscape. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Full-time postdoctoral position requiring a Ph. D. in neuroscience, biophysics, physiology, or related field.


AREAS OF EXPERTISE: Whole cell patch clamp electrophysiology with mammalian cells is required. Patch-clamp fluorometry and isolation and culturing of primary mammalian cardiomyocytes, neurons, and astrocytes is desired, but not required.
