Ocean Spray is Now Hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician at our high-speed beverage manufacturing facility in Lehigh Valley. The 300,000 square foot Lehigh Valley plant has (4) production lines with volumes up to 40 million cases per year. This represents more than 45% of Ocean Spray's North American volume and is operated with a workforce of approximately 190 team members. Lead Maintenance Technician starts at $ 39.32 per hour. This position is a 12-hour rotating shift from 6pm to 6am.

Job Summary:

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for all Maintenance Technician duties, as well as assisting the Maintenance Supervisor daily and providing department leadership in his/her absence.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Oversees work of assigned maintenance team employees.
  • Assists with the planning and preparation of training and orientation for new maintenance team members.
  • Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
  • Works with maintenance supervisor to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
  • Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments, delegates assignments.
  • Work with other department supervisors and leads to make sure equipment repairs are prioritized and repaired in a timely manner.
  • Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.
  • Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.
  • Inspects work performed by team members.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Completes PM audits to ensure efficiency of p.m.'s.
  • Shop walk-through daily/nightly
  • Reaching out for support when deemed necessary.

What we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least five years of maintenance experience required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports, logs, and inventory.
  • Ability to challenge Status Quo and stimulates team members to think outside of the box.
  • Strong communication skills
