Ocean Spray is Now Hiring Machinist Maintenace Technician at the Middleboro facility. This 600,000 square foot processing plant has 3 production lines and can produce up to 80 million pounds per year of Sweetened Dried Cranberries (Craisins). This volume represents more than 30% of Ocean Spray's North American Sweetened Dried Cranberry volume and is operated with a workforce of approximately 200 team members. The Machinist Maintenace Technician position is a 12-hour rotating shift from 6pm-6am with rotating weekends off with a starting pay rate of $33.02plus a shift differential.

Position Overview:

The primary responsibilities of this position include the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of processing and packaging equipment, along with any other duties assigned to support the needs of the business. Team members must comply with all quality, safety, attendance, and work-rule requirements.

What We're Looking For?

  • Must maintain excellent attendance reliability.

  • Manufacturing experience or mechanical aptitude a plus

  • Ability to work overtime.

  • Will be capable of reading, interpreting, and applying such understanding of electrical/mechanical blueprints and drawings.

  • Will install, troubleshoot, and repair any electrical or mechanical system as required.

  • May use a variety of machinist's hand tools, precision hand tools and measuring instruments used for setting up and operating automatic and manual machine shop equipment.

  • Will be required to operate, maintain, clean, adjust, and perform routine maintenance on process and facility equipment and systems (pump components, seals, gear boxes, etc.).

  • Sheet metal fabrication for projects, repairs, and improvements.

  • Will possess ability to communicate with Service Technicians, R&D, Quality, Engineering.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent preferred.

  • Will have a working knowledge of common metal properties and selection of proper standard materials for replacement parts for all plant equipment.

  • Demonstrated ability to weld with TIG, MIG, stick soldering and brazing.

  • Must have troubleshooting/diagnostic experience with packaging equipment.

  • Must possess plumbing and pipefitting experience.
