Gannett Fleming is seeking an entry level Construction Inspector to join our Boston, MA team. In this role, you will play a crucial part on our inspections team and involved in inspecting soils, reinforcing steel bars, concrete, masonry, and hot mixed asphalt. You will contribute to the operational consistency of sampling, testing, and reporting, ensuring compliance with contract documents.

While most projects are based in this region, there may be occasional travel beyond these areas. We will provide the necessary training to equip you with the skills needed for success.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Construction Inspections of contractor activities. Contractors activities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
• Soils
• Reinforcing Steel Bars
• Concrete
• Masonry
• Hot Mixed Asphalt (HMA)
• Coordinating and monitoring of sampling, testing, and reporting activities to provide operational consistency, resolve discrepancies, and meet testing frequency requirements
• Perform analysis of material test results and review/approval of test reports
• Review activities for compliance with contract documents

Requirements:

• 0-2 years' experience in Construction Inspections and Construction Materials Testing
• Clean driving history with own transportation
• Responsible individual who can work well independently as well as part of a team
• Great attitude and aptitude
• ACI Certification

• Field Technician - Grade 1 (Preferred but we will train the right individuals)

• NETTCP Certifications (Bonus)

• Soils and Aggregate Inspector
• Concrete Technician and/or Concrete Inspector
• Paving Inspector

Projects are generally located in eastern/central Massachusetts. Possible travel outside of those areas. We will provide training. Advancement potential.
