WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Purpose/Summary:

The Business Process Specialist will play a pivotal role in streamlining and enhancing our operational procedures by developing, implementing, and maintaining clear and effective SOPs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements while driving efficiency and consistency across the organization.

  • Create, maintain, and control all SOPs process documentation and technical writing to reflect current processes, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy in SOP content.
  • Supports new product or process development efforts to ensure these align with organizational objectives, business standards, and customer expectations.
  • Process Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
    • Assists in collecting and analyzing root cause data and provides recommendations accordingly.
    • Work closely with department leads to understand workflow nuances and pain points.
    • Identifies and communicates performance improvement opportunities using reporting and analytical techniques.
  • Documentation Management:
    • Maintain a centralized repository for SOPs, ensuring easy access and version control.
    • Maintain document control measures to track changes and updates.
  • Training and Communication:
    • Develop training materials and conduct sessions to educate staff on new or updated SOPs.
    • Facilitate communication channels to address queries and provide ongoing support.
    • Work with the Training Department to create training documentation.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure SOPs align with industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
    • Perform periodic audits to verify SOP compliance and effectiveness.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the overall efficiency of operations.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to incorporate into SOP development.
    • Act as Project Manager or project team member on business process or quality projects or projects requiring business process or quality expertise or support.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 30-40%
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality, business/operations continuous process improvement management experience.
  • Proven experience creating, implementing, and maintaining SOPs within a related field setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality management systems.
  • Highly skilled in MS Excel (VBA/SQL) and MS Visio.
  • Skilled in MS SharePoint, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Smartsheet, and MS Teams; SQL preferred but not necessary.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, financially driven, and high-performance environment. Ability to be flexible and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in document management systems and related software.
