Job Description
The Town of Brookline is seeking a skilled craftsperson to be responsible for the repair and replacement of concrete and/or brick work for sidewalks, catch basins, storm or sewer drains, curbstones, and other structures. Ability to determine equipment, materials, and supplies needed for projects, ability to construct, fabricate, maintain and repair bituminous and cement concrete roadways, sidewalks, pathways and driveway areas; and to provide technical supervision to work crew. Ability to use hand tools; break up cement, and ensure that forms are set and concrete and other materials are properly mixed, poured and finished; and operate vehicles, including dump trucks and other equipment. Will be required to perform a range of labor activities, including removal of sand, leaves, large litter, and other debris from roadways including snow and ice.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma plus technical training; 1-2 yrs of masonry, construction, roadway maintenance, driving snow and ice removal or an equivalent combination of of education and experience. Valid Commercial Driver's License, Class B and MA Hoisting Engineer's License.
Starting Salary $28.29/hour plus generous benefits and excellent working conditions. Open until filled.
