Job Description:

The Role:

Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking a new Mechanical Equipment Engineer. If you are hired into this role, you will join a team that produces membranes for filtration and purification applications in the ultra-high purity semiconductor industry. You willbe responsible for supporting production, equipment maintenance and process engineering to improve operation, reliability, safety and ergonomics of production equipment.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with production team, equipment maintenance, and process engineering to improve production equipment productivity, reliability, safety, performance and ergonomics
  • Take ownership of design improvement projects from concept to implementation including validation, documentation, SOPs and training.
  • Create, update, organize, and maintain all documentation
  • Manage release of documentation for projects
  • Specify replacement parts for obsolete and unavailable production equipment. Process as necessary through the change management system

What We Seek:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering,
  • 5-8+ years of directly related experience in a Manufacturing/Equipment environment
  • Experience with a variety of motors and pumps
  • A self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in the use of SolidWorks and AutoCad programs
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and writing communication skills with the ability to clearly explain concepts and solutions
  • A critical eye for Safety and improvements in all areas of responsibility
  • Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project)
  • A desire to be hands-on

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience with the production of membranes
  • Experience with predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermo-imaging, etc.)
