ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Own the profit and loss of product portfolio
  • Coordinate and position circuit breaker products across all of Doble Engineering subsidiary brands to include ISA, Vanguard and Doble Engineering
  • Develop strategy, product portfolio and roadmap for enterprise products and solutions to include PowerBase and WebViewer on the Enterprise Protection side
  • Implementation Doble solution on customer's site
  • Development of substation apparatus diagnostic rules, maintenance rules
  • Work with customers and sales teams to provide quotation
  • Directly supports product alpha and beta testing, product launches, and voice of the customer research.
  • Responsible for working with engineering on the Alpha, Beta and pilot programs with early-stage solutions
  • Stay current with new technologies and developments as they pertain to solutions which may involve being active on international standards organizations
  • Build relationships with customers through user groups feedback and "voice of customer" input to product road maps
  • Lead the development of products through the stage gate process
  • Work with Sr. Solution Director on solution enhancements or improvements
  • Work with Sr. Solution Director on developing innovative products for the market
  • Write and present papers on product implementations
  • Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products
  • Obtains product market share by working with sales & marketing to develop product sales strategies
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Travel requirement: Must be able to travel 40% of the time

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or 10-15 years of experience in Electric Utility engineering or operations with minimum 7 years working experience with substation equipment / systems.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 15 years of power industry experience
  • At least 5 years of project management or product management experience
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Applications

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):

  • Understanding of the power industry market in relation to utility maintenance and testing of equipment
  • A leader with a collaborative approach and ability to manage in a global matrix environment
  • Mobility in substation yards
  • Experience with relay testing, relay setting management, network infrastructure, API interfacing and enterprise data structures is helpful

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.

Salary Pay Range Minimum $113,035.84 - Midpoint $141,294.80
