Test Technician

Job Description:

This is an entry-level engineering technician position that is available on MACOM's Lowell test team. The individual will be responsible for test and measurement of devices, primarily for MACOM's GaAs, GaN and Si based-technology, in support of product development. On-the-job training and career growth opportunities will be provided.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Characterize MMICs and other RF components from RF to microwave
  • Set up test equipment for measurements and verify measurement accuracy
  • Tests include s-parameters, power, IP3, noise figure and other typical RF parameters
  • Analysis of test data
  • Customize and develop test software to simplify and automate a wide of variety of electrical characterization

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent
  • Between 0-3 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge with test lab equipment such as power supplies, SMU's, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers
  • Knowledge of RF test techniques
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and plotting
  • Programming experience in Python is a plus
  • Due to ITAR regulations, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
