Job Description
Responsibilities
* Pickup, transfer, and deliver all temp sensitive R&D samples to designated locations throughout the company
* Receive, process, and deliver all incoming packages to designated delivery locations throughout the company
* Receive, process, and deliver all GMP packages per Standard Operating Procedures
* Perform all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety guidelines
* Receive, process, and coordinate the delivery of all freight items (equipment/bulk deliveries) throughout the company
* Process domestic and international shipments with our 3rd party couriers
* Train on and follow SOPs supporting international trade compliance
* Complete pack out of ambient, 4c, -20c, -70c (dry ice) shipments
* Identify, document, and label (per DOT and IATA compliance) all hazardous and/or biological (BSL1 and BSL2) shipments
* Investigate, resolve, and/or escalate any courier, airline, and/or customs clearance delays
* Respond to customer service emails, service window walk-ups, and phone calls
* Follow work practices that ensure loading dock safety/security at all times of operation (equipment safety/traffic management, security awareness, etc.)

Qualifications
Shipping & Receiving Technician
* Good communication skills on all fronts, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to ensure free flow of company logistics process
* Excellent time management skills to ensure efficiency in shipping, receiving, and delivery times
* Strong customer care, ability to be proactive when dealing with customer complaints or requests
* Ability to use computers, software and other technology for logistics and communication purposes
* Capability to work both independently as part of a team
* Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs
* 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of GMP and GDP preferred
* DOT/IATA Hazardous Shipping Training
* Any other professional certification will be of added advantage
