Job/Internship Description
In this onsite Intern role, you will participate in projects related to lipid nanoparticle (LNP) production and analytics together with in-vitro transcription (IVT) synthesis of RNA using novel reactor platforms. In collaboration with our scientists, you will run experiments using microfluidics and novel bioreactors. You will get hands on experience with various biochemical analytics such as fluorescent microscopy, RNA analysis, and in-vitro assays.

What you will accomplish together with us:

  • You will preparelipid nanoparticles using microfluidic devices and analyze physicochemical properties of the LNP.
  • You will maintain mammalian cell culture.
  • One of your tasks will be to perform microscopy and process the images.
  • In this role, you will run systematic experiments of IVT reaction on bench-top bioreactors, collect and analyze the data.
  • In the event of an issue, you will troubleshoot issues with experimental design and execution.
  • You will summarize data, interpret results, and format data for reporting via presentation or publication.

What will convince us:

Education

  • Pursuing a Bachelor, Master, or PhD in bioengineering, biomedical, chemical, mechanical engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • Hands-on laboratory work including cell culture and handling of RNA.
  • Ideal to have an experience with one or more of the following: DLS, Nanoparticle tracking analysis, RiboGreen assay, PCR, HPLC, design of experiments (DoE)
  • Experience with nanoparticle formulation, microfluidics instruments, and in vitro transcription is plus.
  • Strong desire to work on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond and take on new challenges.
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills.
