JOB MISSION:

Responsible for all financial activities related to NB Owned Domestic Manufacturing site. Duties include ensuring that the performance of all accounting and month-end closing activities, preparation of all financial reporting results, development of forecasts, comparing forecasts to budgets and actuals with variance analysis. This position also provides detailed financial analysis to ensure appropriate visibility and awareness of Manufacturing details. Also coordinates efforts among local functions and relevant organizational groups to develop, complete and communicate the desired results.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Play integral role in Digital transformation of Domestic Factories
  • Build a strong Plant Accounting function with skillset needed for future growth and requirements as well as strong business partnership with Factory Management.
  • Effectively support the MADE Manufacturing organization through detailed and timely reporting & analysis while maintaining a clear independence necessary for the Finance function.
  • Provide specific and actionable information to broaden awareness and drive accountability for MADE Manufacturing performance and spend. Provide ad-hoc detailed analyses as needed.
  • Support Operations with the application of pertinent financial metrics in support of lean initiatives.
  • Safeguard company assets by ensuring appropriate systems and controls over movement of inventories within the factory. Also includes the coordination of the yearly Stockroom, WIP and Fixed Asset inventories. Review all capital and major purchase requests for financial justifications.
  • Complete and Co-ordinate the successful completion of monthly close activities according to close calendar and book all journal entries to the general ledger for MADE Manufacturing transactions.
  • Analyze monthly results and complete all required reporting activities inclusive of detailed variance explanations for the MADE operations as a whole.
  • Drive the annual budget process as it pertains to MADE Manufacturing. Based on information required, evaluate guidelines, establish budget goals and coordinate accordingly to develop a comprehensive annual budget package.
  • Assist with the quarterly material obsolescence reporting by analyzing excess raw materials against scheduled production.
  • Lead Operational improvement projects and participate on cross functional teams.
  • Work with NB Owned Manufacturing Controller in the development of policies and processes in support of a control environment. Continually review business processes, reporting packages and Factory accounting processes for applicability and adjust as necessary.
  • Support year end audit on behalf of MADE Manufacturing.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting/Finance with 10+ years related experience with 5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
  • Supervisory/Management experience, in depth Cost Accounting knowledge is required.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish) - a nice -to-have
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint obligatory.
  • Experience with D365, Oracle and Power BI a plus.
  • MBA, CMA desired but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential; with specific ability to manage up.
