JOB MISSION:

New Balance's Data Governance Coordinator position is a vital role in the company's product lifecycle management and digitization transformation. This associate will support global data governance throughout the company and supports the global data governance framework - ensuring our data is cared for through its complete lifecycle as an enterprise asset. The Data Governance Coordinator partners with the Data Governance Stewards and Analysts to ensure quality of the data meets expectations by all customers in the lifecycle of the data. They contribute to understood, controlled, and reliable data. One of the most critical skills for success in this role is the ability to implement data related tasks to drive high-quality data.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for ongoing product lifecycle auditing and maintenance
  • Supports data migration into a digitized landscape
  • Documents and communicates any data integrity issues/risks of data
  • Applies Azure DevOps (ADO) to document issues related to data quality
  • Participates in daily meetings to provide status updates
  • Organize, prioritize, and execute work you're leading
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines
  • Support a culture of learning to understand the lifecycle of data, what it represents, how it is created, and how to analyze and use (internal & external) through training
  • Support the Data Stewardship community, (including Data Custodians and stakeholders) to ensure that they have the support and knowledge (over time) to adopt the end-to-end Data Quality framework as a fundamental part of the service
  • Support facilitation of processes for remediating Data Quality issue/request by enabling prioritization of Data Quality Exceptions by impact under the Data Quality Incident Management Standard/SOP

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Prioritize and manage tasks and projects along with recurring responsibilities and adjust to changing priorities with leadership guidance
  • Apply learnings from challenges to future tasks & priorities

  • Deadline-oriented and basic project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Enterprise software knowledge/understanding (PLM, PIM, ERP, B2B, etc.) a plus
  • Experience in BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc) a plus

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
