Job Description
The Director, Competitive Intelligence will manage the Customer organization's competitive intelligence function. This includes maintaining timelines, industry knowledge, market alerts, conference coverage, primary market research, and Leadership briefings on competitive events as they occur. This position partners with several functions throughout the organization to ensure consistency and awareness, including Medical Affairs, Corporate Strategy, New Product Planning, and Marketing. This role also partners closely with colleagues in the CI&A group to round out a more complete view of market intelligence and analytics.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the Competitive Intelligence function for the Customer organization - synthesizing sources, information, and points of view into an aligned, clear repository.
  • Manage external vendor resources to track market events and conduct primary market research.
  • Evolve and maintain Sarepta's Competitive Intelligence policies and procedures.
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with key stakeholders and intelligence sources through the organization, including key corporate partnerships.
  • Proactively contribute to key strategic planning activities across the organization.
  • Manage external CI online portal - including design, content, and distribution.
  • Ensures Sarepta's adherence and compliance with all appropriate industry and company standards as it relates to Competitive Intelligence.
  • Leads ongoing forum for competitive intelligence sharing across the organization.
  • Maintains process of alerting key stakeholders to market events and developments.
  • Other related duties as required.

Desired Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor's, Advanced degree required - PhD preferred
  • 15+ years' total work experience
    • At least 7+ years of experience in the biopharmaceuticals or adjacent industry.
    • At least 5+ years of competitive intelligence
  • Demonstrated, applied experience with:
    • Competitive primary market research
    • Biopharma competitive information management
    • Presenting/sharing information with diverse audiences
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.

The targeted salary range for this position is $180,000 - $225,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta's compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
