Bitsight is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Engineer with a focus on networking to support the scaling of our rapidly growing organization's information technology infrastructure. This role is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with hands-on experience in network administration and management, with the potential to expand their career in other areas of IT.

The individual will join the IT Engineering team at Bitsight, which is critical in ensuring that Bitsight's technology supports its business processes and provides a strong foundation for the company's operations and growth.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee office network management, configuration, and optimization, ensuring robust connectivity and security.

• Responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the network infrastructure.

• Monitor network performance regularly and respond to network connectivity issues and system outages.

• Work closely with other IT team members and external IT vendors to ensure continuity of service and high-quality technical support for end-users.

• Managing specialized support cases in person and remotely via ticketing queue, chat, or email.

• Assist in the development of repeatable processes through written documentation.

• Driven to research, self-study, and maintain proficiency in all areas of IT

• Ability to analyze and provide feedback to improve processes and procedures for the team's benefit.

• Achieve resolution for issues and projects within the projected time frame.

Skills and Experience

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role is required.

• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, and switches (Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, Ubiquiti UniFi).

• Experience in network hardware installation, configuration, and administration. (i.e., firewalls, switches, APs)

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English

• Display a strong understanding of project management, documentation, and completion of projects on a time-sensitive basis.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Experience administering macOS, iOS, and SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Jamf, Okta, Slack, Jira, and Zoom.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US$80,000 to $100,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight's good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant.
