SUMMARY

The Sales Operations Coordinator will be responsible for providing effective operational support to the corporate and premium sales teams by gaining in-depth knowledge of sponsorship and premium inventory, working across business functions, auditing contractual data, and utilizing available tools to enhance sales productivity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for the sponsorship inventory in the CRM system and develop a report cadence to deliver sales team with comprehensive overview of availability.
  2. Support adoption and usage of sales tools including CRM.
  3. CRM sales opportunity and campaign management.
  4. Conduct market research to identify leads in new and emerging categories.
  5. Identify, qualify, and make initial contact with prospective sales opportunities.
  6. Work closely with Corporate Sales and Premium Sales professionals to nourish new relationships.
  7. Respond to ad-hoc inventory requests during proposal process.
  8. Develop comprehensive understanding of organizational and league commercial policies.
  9. Assist in the development of sales material and support the proposal process when needed.
  10. Attend prospect brainstorming sessions.
  11. Identify new inventory opportunities.
  12. Communicate deal changes to inventory owners.
  13. Manage system rate cards and research competitor prices.
  14. Maintain a high degree of knowledge of current partners and upcoming renewals.
  15. Complete special projects and assignments as business dictates.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or similar required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience; sales or sales ops specific experience a plus
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal
  • Interact comfortably and confidently with internal and external contacts at all levels
  • Experience with Salesforce or Kore Software is preferred
  • Organized and methodical with attention to details;
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced work environment
  • Comfortable with shifting priorities while maintaining execution of long-term strategic plan
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs (including Power Point and Excel) along with demonstrated accurate keyboarding skills
  • Equally comfortable working independently or as a contributor in a team environment.
  • Available to work events, specifically nights, weekends and some holidays
