Job Description

The Assistant Controller works under the guidance of and assists the corporate controller in preparing and reporting financial statements conforming to principles of accounting and regulatory requirements. The main responsibilities are to ensure that the prepared financial statements are in accordance with the management's instructions.

Responsibilities:

* Participate in the monthly closing activities, 6 month rolling forecast, mid-year re-forecast and budget preparation

* Report the required data in the Group reporting tools, timely and accurately

* Follow up on the proper accounting of all the costs for the period, including any accruals, their follow up, justification and reconciliation with the Balance Sheet.

* Analyze the performance of the 3 Business Units within the company like Booking and Backlog follow up, Parts and Units margin calculation and analysis, Direct Margin reconciliation

* Communicate closely with sales teams in order to support the accounting treatment of specific cases if any, and to ensure the proper follow up and reconciliation of sales / booking / backlog & direct costs

* Support the controller for Monthly Reporting package presentation & Budget presentation

* Develop system controls for ensuring data integrity

* Prevent inaccuracies in financial statements by setting up internal control systems and adopting proper policies for financial reporting

* Ensure compliance with recording procedures in the ERP, in accordance with the processes defined by the group (Balance sheet and P&L).

* Be in charge of intercompany reconciliation - ensure monthly statements are reviewed and communicated with all sister companies, prepare bi-annual reconciliation files and report to the Group

Education/Training:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Audit or Finance required

* Professional certification like CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and CFM (Certified Financial Manager) preferred

* Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting packages

* Practical training or experience in an Audit or CPA firm is beneficial.

* Some supervisory experience is also preferred.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and use good judgment

* Creative, organized, and strong planning skills preferred

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
